History in the making
Created within the walls of a 15th century edifice, characterized by old stone arches and cross vaulted ceilings, ever since it first opened its doors to hungry holidaymakers Al Grottino has been a favourite haunt of those looking for good honest food and wine and a charming setting in which to savor it.
Mentioned in all of the most authoritative international gastronomic guides, Restaurant Al Grottino is famous for its delicious Neapolitan cuisine and traditional island dishes, all of which prepared using only the freshest of seasonal ingredients.
A family passion
For over 70 years, Al Grottino has been run by members of the Arbace family, whose passion for quality food and fine service has made the restaurant one of the most popular on the whole island of Capri, as testified by the many photos of past and present customers which adorn the dining room walls.
During the warm summer months, it's particularly pleasant to relax over a meal in Il Grottino's air conditioned dining room.
