Il Giardino - Location
Restaurant Il Giardino enjoys a superb position, close to one of the most famous sites on the island of Capri, Villa San Michele. One time residence of the Swedish author, Axel Munthe, the villa, on the slopes of Mount Solaro, boasts commanding views of the Gulf of Naples, from Punta Campanella to the island of Ischia.
Today's Viale Axel Munthe traces the old road which, via the Phoenician steps, linked Capri's Marina Grande harbour with the center of Anacapri.
