A history of hospitality
Three reasons why you'll love it here
- Have a holiday in Camille Du Locle's 19th century home
- Wake up to a breathtaking view of Marina Piccola
- Afternoons spent relaxing by the pool in the garden
It's only too easy to fall head-over-heels in love with Capri's La Certosella: one of the most beautiful of all the prestigious properties on Capri's exclusive Via Tragara.
A bit of history
One of Capri's oldest hotels, La Certosella was built in 1880 by Camille Du Locle, known internationally for his work as director of the Paris Opera Comique and for having written the libretti of Verdi's La Forza del Destino and Don Carlos
Rooms to love, views to die for
Over a century later, the hotel's 12 elegant deluxe rooms are still steeped in old world charm. Many of the rooms have balconies and terraces from where enchanting views of the Bay of Marina Piccola can be seen.
Air conditioning, LCD television, hydromassage baths: La Certosella may well be one of the oldest hotels in Capri but the same thing cannot be said about the amenities!
At La Certosella the relaxation is guaranteed; whether you choose to spend your time perusing the books in the peaceful reading room, chatting over drinks in the bar or simply soaking up the sun by the sea view swimming pool''' in the garden.
If you fancy a day on the beach, just ask the concierge... special rates are granted to guests staying at La Certosella at both La Canzone del Mare and Da Luigi ai Faraglioni beach clubs!
