Alberino Alfonso opened his charming little boutique in 1946. La Fiorente immediately earned itself a place in the "Made in Capri" hall of fame, thanks to its beautiful selection of precious Mediterranean coral and Cammei.
Such is his passion for the business, that Don Alfonso continues, to this very day, to participate in the running of the jewelers shop. In the 1980's his son Costanzo, who has inherited his father's love for precious stones, joined the family business and introduced a new range of gemstones to the Fiorente's rich collection. Each and every year, Costanzo travels to Colombia where he personally visits the famous emerald mines, so as to purchase the finest examples all destined to be transformed in to fabulous pieces of jewelry.
