This small and exquisitely charming hotel is situated approximately 100mt away from Capri's famous Piazzetta, in one of the town's oldest and most characteristic quarters. La Prora hotel was constructed in the early 1800's by a retired naval officer and designed so as to resemble the prow of a ship, in memory of the owner's seafaring past.
The hotel boasts spectacular views out over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, Italy's last active volcano. From the breakfast room guests can observe the buzzing activity in the harbour of Marina Grande below or gaze up at the stunningly beautiful Monte Solaro mountainside, the highest point on the island of Capri.

Now to get to the Prora from the main square go up the church steps, under the arch to Via Madre Serafina, to Via Castello passing through the covered medieval part of the town (about 5mins walk).
