Once you reach Capri from either Naples (harbour Beverello (frequent departures both by ferry and hydrofoil) or Mergellina (just a few hydrofoils each day)) or Sorrento, you will find it easiest to reach the centre of Capri by funicolare, the cable car that in only three minutes brings you to the Piazzetta. From there it's only a ten minutes walk to La Vega, down Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Camerelle, and then a few steps to reach Via Occhio Marino. Much luggage? There is a very reliable porter service that for only 9,00 euro a piece brings your suitcases from the boat to the hotel lobby. The porters can be found whenever you get of the hydrofoil!
