Tonino Staiano and his American wife inaugurated the Seagull in 1960. Within months of its opening, the shop had already gained an international reputation for its superb hand painted Italian ceramics.
In 1978 ownership of the Seagull passed to Tonino's cousin Paolo and his wife Agnese. The couple's innate sense of style and great passion for art have guided them in the purchasing of some of the most beautiful works ever created by Italian artists.
Each and every item displayed in the shop is a unique hand crafted and painted work of art.
