Villa Helios (Holiday Homes) Capri
Via Croce, 4 - Capri Tel. +39 081 8370240 , Fax +39 081 3615851
Built in the early 1900's in a style quite different from the traditional island architecture which surrounded it, Villa Helios was originally the property of a Swiss benefactress. In the past it was run by the Order of the Rave Sisters of Saint Elisabeth, whilst it is now managed by the San Costanzo Foundation including the parish of Saint Stephen and the order of the Sisters of the Holy Hearts.
Villa Helios is an affiliate of the Italian Social Tourism Center (C.I.T.S.) and, as such, offers accommodation exclusively to members of the said organisation. Membership can be obtained directly at Villa Helios. Villa Helios is run on a non profit making basis and all revenue is donated to the "Saint Giuseppe" and "Domus Quietis" retirement homes.
Bedrooms have been recently renovated and nearly all have lovely views. There are an additional five, simply furnished, rooms without views. Rooms are all equipped telephones and bathroom with shower or bathtub. A television is situated in the reception hall. Rates include breakfast. In the year 2000 Villa Helios became the first establishment on the island of Capri to purposely build five rooms suited to the requirements of disabled guests.
A tiny chapel with exquisitely beautiful stained glass windows is situated within the property. Group rates (for a minimum of 20 guests) are granted on a request basis. Group rates are not available for weekends in July and August.
