Anacapri - Procession of St. Antonio

St. Antonio is the Patron Saint of Anacapri, celebrated every June 13th.
A week before the ceremony, the Church of Santa Sofia and the historic center of Anacapri are decorated with colored lights and drapes.
The day of the celebrations a long and sombre procession is performed carrying the statue of the Saint through the streets of the center and at its passing, from the balconies, the faithful throw rose petals and broom flower, the flower of Saint Antonio.
The small, narrow lanes are lined with stalls selling children’s toys, candy and household goods.
In the evening, a concert is held in Piazza Diaz.
