Do I need to take a guided tour to see Capri?
Capri is a small island that is safe and easy to get around by yourself, so you don't necessarily need a guide. That said, we definitely recommend taking a guided boat tour around the island, as a visit to Capri is not complete without having seen the island from the sea and explored the grottos along the coastline.
What kinds of guided tours can I take on Capri?
In addition to guided boat tours, you can hire a guide to tour the center of Capri and/or Anacapri, or a nature guide to take you hiking on the many trails that crisscross the island.
What day trips can I take from Capri?
The closest destinations to visit from Capri are Sorrento, Naples, Positano, and Amalfi. You can also take a guided tour to see Pompeii, which is about 30 minutes from the port of Sorrento. By far the best way to appreciate Pompeii is to take a tour with an expert guide.
