Aurora Capri

The Aurora restaurant and pizzeria is located in the center of Capri, in the historic Fuorlovado street. From here, for over a century now, members of the D'Alessio family have been promoting the culinary traditions of Capri - creating a veritable gastronomic paradise which has been managed for three successive generations with the same passion and attention to detail now offered by Gennaro and Lucia and their children Mia and Raffaele.

The restaurant has gained wide spread international acclaim for its excellent Mediterranean cuisine and for its traditional Neapolitan and Caprese specialities to which Chef Franco Aversa adds a pinch of creative flair, that sprinkling of culinary innovation, which places the Aurora among the
most exclusive restaurants on the island.

The Aurora restaurant was among the very first establishments to introduce a selection of quality wines to Capri and over the years has continued to seek out the very best Italian and International wines. The wine cellar now houses over 300 labels belonging to the most highly acclaimed producers of wine from Tuscany, Piedmont, Campania, Puglia, and Sicily as well as a selection of excellent French and Californian wines. This passion for fine wines and the ever-expanding wine cellar of the Aurora has led to the opening of the centrally located "Vino" enoteca, a fabulous wine bar with an impressive exposition of wines, which, from day one, has proved to be extremely popular with locals and visitors to the island alike.
