Claudia Gioielli

Claudia Gioielli, inaugurated in the 1950's, is Anacapri's oldest jewelers shop. In the year 2000, grandmother Claudia D'Angelo requested that the premises be completely modernized. She was sure that, considering the shop's extremely fortunate position in the center of Anacapri opposite the Church of St. Sofia, a stylish renovation would not only be more in keeping with the elegant surroundings of the Piazza, but would give the property added appeal to tourists and locals alike.
The extremely stylish items of jewelry found in the shop are all carefully chosen by Claudia's daughter Marilena who, together with her children, now runs the family business.
Claudia Gioielli has an impressive selection of silverware including picture frames by the celebrated manufacturers Fani Firenze and Sovrani, vases, silver plated sea shells and numerous articles in both crystal and silver.
Featuring among Claudia Gioelli's range of fine watches one finds the American "Hamilton", whose classy timepieces with flawless Swiss mechanism have been worn by the protagonists in numerous cult films including "Odyssey in Space" and the more recent "Men in Black".
The younger market is well catered for by the watches and accessories created by Roberta di Camerino.
Works by other famous names include Gianni Carità's jewelry in 18kt white gold and mounted with precious stones. The Neapolitan born Carità is one of the most influential figures in Southern Italy's jewelry business, creator of the "Tarì", among the most important gold centers in the whole of Italy, with which Claudia Gioielli enjoys a privileged relationship
