Restaurants - Anacapri - Il Riccio

Il Riccio is Capri Palace Hotel & Spa's new sea-edge fish restaurant. Situated just a few meters away from the legendary Grotta Azzurra, the stylish eatery is the result of the successful rennovation of the historic Add' 'O Riccio: for decades one of the most-loved restaurants on the island of Capri.

Today, as in the past, Il Riccio is inspired by the Mediterranean. The menu, which pays homage to the region's maritime traditions, features fresh fish of the day, crustaceans, sea food, and Gragnano pasta. Under the guidance of the talented young chef, Andrea Migliaccio, the best of Neapolitan cuisine is served, both at lunch and dinner.

Mario De Luca was responsible for the restaurant's interior design. His crisp white and blue color scheme perfectly complements the eatery's classic Mediterranean furnishings. On the large terrace overlooking the sea there are pieces both of traditional local craftwork and of contemporary art, which has been created especially for Il Riccio by Paolo Sandulli, Rosario Remino and others.

Il Riccio is also an exclusive beach club. Nestled amidst the rocks, looking out over the intense blue sea of Capri, there are a number of small solariums which provide utmost privacy to those wishing to bathe in the sunshine, just steps away from the water. For clients arriving directly by sea, Il Riccio offers a tender and shuttle service, accompanying clients to the restaurant aboard one of the island's characteristic gozzo boats.
