Restaurants and the Cuisine of Capri
In the immediate vicinity of the Piazzetta of Capri, wandering through the maze of alleyways, one comes across an impressive number of restaurants. The existence of some dates back for decades, whilst others are of much more recent inauguration, all offering excellent food, predominantly traditional local dishes using the freshest fish and seafood.
All over the Island of Capri one finds excellent eateries, restaurants highly acclaimed for both the warm hospitality and for the fine cuisine they offer, all set in fabulous scenery with superb views.
The cuisine of Capri is not dissimilar to Neapolitan and Mediterranean cooking, the major protagonists being tomato, olive oil, garlic, peperoncino, basil, oregano, parsley, mint, fennel, marjoram, capers, olives, and anchovies.
