Capri, for sure...

... it is not the most appropriate place to look for "places" where there is attention to the quality of the how as well as the what - and I feel I can say it from the bottom of an experience of short but regular work attendance that has allowed me to get all the [unnecessary] confirmations regarding an average tourist offer that has no interest in either a customer to retain or a correct price-value ratio. This duly pointed out, for a few years I have "fallen" in this place that is so reminiscent - for those of my age - of those delicious songs of "light music" of the 80s in which everything seemed to contribute, serenely, to a result that was the most that a song could offer; and that, listening again, you discovered there were always more than you had thought possible. Hangout - maybe not even the choice of name is random is a place where time "spends" well - and together [sometimes, maybe, even "too much together", in the sense that the word must have spread and you find yourself in a particularly crowded place]; it is a place where the two owners Marco and Simone, with cordiality and sympathy never affected, give the feeling you are almost at home from the first time and where the room boys, old and "older", seem to have been selected starting from their being able to do the same. I wish I had written this review a long time ago, but unfortunately I come to Capri mostly for work [and not one too easy], so I always promised myself to do it but I realize that I have not had the time so far. The pub is also extremely welcoming from a logistical point of view, in the sense that it is practically attached to the square, but it is located in a (col)lateral alley, so you are not entirely in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but you do not have to rely on who knows what knowledge of astral references to find it. And it's not small at all, so it's always good; the tables and seats are judiciously distributed and, if you were sometimes asked to accept a somewhat "sacrificed" placement, it would only be because of the obvious peak time the particular times. The selection of beers is much greater - and even better - than what you might expect in the "village pub" and which, perhaps, would be much more convenient to manage so much in relation to the breadth and heteroclitic nature of the users - in the "village" what your regular customers drink after a while you have learned and the average tourist gives to drink, and also to eat, a little what you want. Nevertheless, they have quite a few goodies that propose you with the obvious involvement of those who do not do this work because "it happened" but for healthy passion; and this appears even more evident in the wine list, for nothing due in a "pub", and that instead here is small, if you like, but with many pearls of interest [and I speak about it with knowledge of the facts]. All this so far stated is a prelude to the very high and in my opinion growing quality of their cuisine: if, in fact, Hangout is a place where you are good together; and you drink well; it is certainly a place where you eat better [many, many good things; and simple; and simply good]: a "hard core" consisting of their delicious sandwiches, beautiful already to look at but better to eat, with proper attention to raw materials; and then the delicious range, politely variable, of "restaurant" offers, correctly differentiated between lunch - in which there is never a good choice of first courses, often with proper attention to the territory [if you were lucky you could run into the day when there were dumplings Sorrento or "past and patan", but one nerono you almost certainly get it] - and dinner, where you can more indulge in the main course both meat - for a couple of years has also made an elegant appearance a showcase fridge for maturation with always no less than three, four "pieces" of sure interest - as excellent fish. In short, I realize that I may seem scarcely credible as I am speaking exclusively well of it, but when I am on Capri - and I would have alternatives, which it would not be particularly elegant to list now - I eat [and drink] here twice a day, just because three you can not. I would conclude by adding that a little 'everything in the room is marked by the simple good taste of the "pub" aspect; that the place is very clean; and that the bathrooms are also very clean; and that, last but not least, from the room you can guess a little' the size of the kitchen but, if you close the eyes of reason and observe "what" comes out; and "how much"; and even "how", you can imagine that they are opening a gap to another dimension and populated by an army of Umpa Lumpa working at a feverish pace so that the continuous flow of those delicacies does not interrupt. In short, I can assure you that I am not a cousin of either of the owners or of their relatives or similar; nor of people who have worked or work there. Dude, maybe, that one does a little bit, because, with "people like that," you'll end up becoming one, too, if you start dating them.

Excellent service, menu, quality and processing. A 10. In the center of Capri having a pub, offering high quality meat dishes and hamburgers of these levels is priceless.

An alternative in expensive Capri

The quality of the sandwiches is excellent and prices are affordable for Capri. The staff is friendly and helpful. A viable alternative to the island's classic restaurants.
