Hotel La Palma

Experience la Dolce Vita in the first Italian Masterpiece hotel in the Oetker Hotels, an expression of the legendary island lifestyle.

A luxury experience in the heart of Capri

State-of-the-art design

Renowned cuisine

Hotel La Palma first opened its doors in 1822, back when Capri was still a rustic community far from today's luxurious identity. At that time, only a handful of travelers came to this Mediterranean island, following in the footsteps of the Roman emperor Tiberius. All the visitors found a hospitable welcome at the simple lodge that was then called Locanda Pagano.

Two centuries later, under the ownership of the Reuben brothers, this historic hotel has been reborn as part of the Oetker Hotels, which transformed the hotel into an exclusive icon of hospitality with 50 rooms and suites.

The hotel was recently renovated by the famous interior designer Francis Sultana. It is his first hotel project, and he has managed to capture the light and minimalism of Capri beautifully, adding a touch of elegance that recalls the jet-set era of the 1950s.

Experience la Dolce Vita with warm hospitality

Hotel La Palma is located just steps from the island's famous Piazzetta, and is home to restaurants, panoramic bars, a private beach club - all managed by Casa Tua - a swimming pool, and a signature spa. All the rooms in the hotel are designed to recall the island's golden age and express the quintessence of Capri: the luxury of simplicity, the luxury of immersing yourself in the light and beauty of the coast.

In the beating heart of Capri

La Palma is located in the heart of Capri, between the Piazzetta and Via Camerelle, next to the Taverna Anema e Core. Simply step outside and you'll be immersed in the vibrancy of summer on Capri, returning to the silence and tranquillity of the hotel whenever you want to retreat into quiet luxury.

Savoring the best of Italian cuisine

Hotel La Palma presents a refined gastronomic concept in collaboration with Casa Tua, the renowned international lifestyle and hospitality brand founded in Miami in 2001 by Miky and Leticia Grendene. Born as an extension of the founders’ home, Casa Tua blends elegance and authenticity with an intimate sense of conviviality, now extended to iconic destinations such as Aspen, Paris, and New York. Its philosophy is rooted in passion, hospitality, sustainability, and a spirit of togetherness, creating distinctive experiences through exceptional cuisine, thoughtful design, and highly personalized service.

From day to night, Casa Tua Restaurant offers an elegant all-day dining experience celebrating the warmth and authenticity of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine across the coveted terrace and sophisticated indoor space. From June, doors will open to The Club by Casa Tua, the heartbeat of the property featuring live music, performances, and special events.

Fuoco by Casa Tua, a panoramic rooftop restaurant and lounge, sets the tone for glam Capri nights with open wood-fired cooking, refined crudos, and sushi prepared in front of guests, all complemented by cinematic views and a vibrant, sophisticated cocktail scene where dining, music, and energy come together above the island.

By the sea, Mare Beach Club by Casa Tua captures the essence of elevated beachside living across both beach club and restaurant in Marina Piccola, inviting guests to unwind by the sea with dishes inspired by coastal flavors. Two distinct ways to enjoy Capri’s unmatched coastline in effortless style.

Luxurious hotel with some room for improvement

Our stay at Hotel La Palma in Capri was overall a great experience. What stands out positively is definitely the exceptionally friendly and professional reception. The staff at the reception was always helpful and very attentive. We also really liked the beautifully and stylishly furnished rooms. Unfortunately, the first room (No. 305) that we were supposed to check into was located next to a children's playground. The noise from there could be heard even through the very well-insulated windows; staying with the balcony doors open in the room or on the veranda was impossible. However, we really liked the second room assigned to us. It was quiet even though it was directly by the pool (same level). What we did not like at all, and what deserves at most two stars, is the (included for us) breakfast and the "service" that came with it. There was a very small buffet with mostly sweet cakes and pastries. Along with that, there was Italian white bread and a type of dark bread. Yogurt, three jams, and Italian cheese, which was very strong in flavor and not exactly suitable for breakfast. However, the latter is perhaps a matter of taste. In addition, there are antipasti and a muesli. Every day is the same. What we were missing was a selection of sausage, ham, and cold cuts. Italy truly has many variations to offer in this regard. As we learned, one could order this from a menu, albeit at a considerable extra charge.🧐 From this menu, one could also choose 1!!!! hot beverage (the teapot was only half full, so it was only one cup), along with complimentary waffles or similar items and egg dishes; bacon was charged an extra 8 euros. Unfortunately, the service at breakfast can only be described as incredibly poor. With the exception of one staff member, everyone suffered from collective memory loss. Every morning, one had to repeat their orders 3-4 times because after 20 minutes, one still had no hot beverage or butter. Moreover, numerous orders such as water, eggs, etc. were delivered completely incorrectly. For a hotel that belongs to the Dr. Oetker Collection and is in this price range, this is unacceptable. This needs urgent improvement. Nevertheless, one can certainly recommend this hotel. The price-performance ratio is not really right, but that is also due to the location and the island of Capri itself. Nothing here is cheap. However, it is beautiful and pure entertainment!

Luxury Without the Stress — Outstanding Service From Ferry to Hotel

We loved both Hotel La Palma itself and the restaurant. The location right in Capri town was extremely convenient, but what really stood out was how proactively the hotel handled our arrival logistics. A staff member was waiting for us as soon as we stepped off the ferry and coordinated our transportation directly to the hotel. In Capri, that is a huge help and removed what could have easily been a stressful process trying to find a taxi and navigate luggage through the crowds. The hotel felt polished and luxurious while still being welcoming and comfortable. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. Capri and Hotel La Palma are absolutely on our “we need to come back” list.

Our stay at Hotel La Palma was truly exceptional. From the very first moment, we felt surrounded by genuine care and attention. The staff is incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. What impressed us the most was how sincere and warm every interaction felt — always with a smile, always ready to assist, creating an atmosphere of comfort and elegance. A special mention to the General Manager, who is absolutely outstanding — a true professional, with impeccable standards and a remarkable ability to create a flawless guest experience. Her presence elevates the entire hotel to another level. This is not just a hotel, but a place where hospitality feels personal, refined, and truly luxurious.
