With its excellent food, breathtaking views and unbeatable location, on the rocks just beneath Capri's lighthouse, Restaurant Lido del Faro is Anacapri's answer to gourmet heaven by the sea.
Lido del Faro is something of a gastronomic institution on the island, a place in which, together with the holidaymakers, you'll always find a conspicuous number of locals tucking in to a dish of the eatery's marinated salmon and anchovies, seafood risotto, tubettoni with limpets, or linguine with prawns and rocket on their lunch break.
In summertime, from Thursday to Sunday, the restaurant opens in the evenings too, providing the perfect venue for a romantic sea-edge dinner for two!
Not surprisingly, same-day-fresh fish and seafood dominate Lido del Faro's menus. The delicious local pezzogna fish cooked with tomatoes and herbs is an absolute must, as are the grilled baby squid.
Pizza enthusiasts will love the fragrant pizzas cooked in Lido del Faro's traditional wood burning oven.
For the sweet toothed, there is a selection of irresistible desserts, including the wickedly rich Torta Caprese.
Restaurant and beach club Lido del Faro provide an idyllic location for an unforgettable sea-edge wedding or special event
Not only is Lido del Faro one of the island's most famous restaurants, it's a popular beach club too; where holidaymakers and islanders come to spend the day by the sea, basking in the sun on the private sundecks and swimming in the sea or the salt-water pool.
From midday to sunset
Open 7 days a week. Close from November to Easter
