Le Monzu

Pass this one by….its not worth it. Let me count the reasons: It’s out of the way and difficult to get to. Only can walk there. No cars, taxis The dining room is very plain, nothing to remember Maybe the staff was still in training but service was well below what I’d expect at a Michelin star restaurant. The maître d’ was the least personal I’ve ever experienced at a Michelin restaurant. The cocktails were over priced. The steak my wife and I had was very good but one of our friends who had a different entre had serious digestive problems for 48 hours

There are restaurants that you remember for a dish and others that you remember for how they made you feel. Le Monzù definitely belongs to the second category. In a setting that needs no introduction, what struck me most was the quality of the welcome and the service: accurate, present, impeccable in its timing, but never intrusive. That form of elegance that seems natural and that, instead, is born from great professionalism and attention to detail. A truly special mention goes to Eduardo, the dining room manager, capable of interpreting hospitality in the most authentic sense of the term. Competence, grace, attention, and an extraordinary ability to understand the guest without ever overdoing it. The wine list is also of great quality, a selection capable of enhancing the gastronomic journey and offering important labels alongside less obvious choices. The cuisine completes the experience with refined dishes, balance, and great care, but what remains, when leaving, is above all the feeling of having experienced a special evening and not simply a dinner.

Absolutely Fantastic food & service ! Eduardo was par excellence throughout , very warm , very charming and attentive without being overbearing. I opted for the pescatarian tasting menu and it was exquisite. Offerings were delicious and overall, worthy of its star. Would highly recommend. Thank you guys for a lovely dinner and experience.
