As well as pizza, cooked in the traditional wood burning oven, Aumm Aumm serves a selection of delicious pasta dishes, hamburgers salads and desserts too.

All dishes are made with fresh ingredients and that means no preservatives and nothing frozen

Open until late, all year round

The great food served here is not the only reason why Aumm Aumm is Anacapri's favorite pizzeria: it's also one of the very few restaurants on the island of Capri to stay open all year, and until late - even in the winter!

Football crazy?

One thing you might like to bear in mind: during the football season, the pizzeria shows matches on its mega-screen and, if you want to eat when Naples is playing, you'll need to book a table well in advance!

They add 3€ cover charge per person

If you go with a family, expect to pay 12-15€ for “service fee”. They call it “coperto” and there is no information about the restaurant adding it anywhere, which is clearly against the price transparency policy set up in Italy. That’s a pity because pizza is good and the staff is really nice, but everything they work up towards an amazing experience disappears when you get a bill and realise you’ve been ripped off without previous notice. I believe they might be applying this inconsistently, because there is no information about this charge anyway. Probably something you will see added to your bill if you’re a tourist and not a local.

Clarification on Restaurant Coperto charge.

We plan on visiting this restaurant in May, but I noted the recent comment regarding the "coperto" charge. I just wanted to clarify that this is a standard cover charge that Italian restaurants implement, and it ranges from 1 euro to 3 euros per person. It is not a rip-off or scam from the restaurants, as this is the standard practice. In some regions, this may be referred to as servizio charge instead. There might have been some mention of the coperto charge at the bottom of the menu.

We were en route in Capri and as part of our itinerary we climbed to Anacapri to climb to the viewpoint of Mt. In between, we opted to go to a place where our ratings and prices were in an affordable range for us. The truth is that we ate some high quality pizzas at this place and the attention was up to what the reviews and ratings indicated. We try both pizzas and full calzones. The only thing I don't give it a 5 is because unlike other places, yes it's true that desserts didn't seem especially palatable
