Romantic Capri Sunset Boat Tour for Two with Aperitivo on Board

Fabio was the best captain we could imagine! What a great driver and charming human! We fished. We swam. We soaked up the scenery. This is a must do experience on Capri! No worries that the Blue Grotto was closed. Thank you!!

New boat, Paolo's service excellent. Highlight the establishment's honesty, which knew how to solve the bad weather problem and negotiate correctly with us. Is it worth doing business with this company.

Let me start by saying that we originally booked the 3-hour tour and changed it the day before to the 7-hour tour because we thought three hours wouldn’t be enough time on the water. The weather forecast looked great, and we were really looking forward to spending the day out on the boat. Unfortunately, the joke was on us. The day turned out to be extremely windy and choppy, and what we didn’t realize beforehand was that when it’s windy, the canopy cannot be put up. That meant zero shade for the entire trip, something we wish we had been made aware of before committing to a 7-hour tour. Within about 15 minutes, my husband and I looked at each other and asked, “Should we just call it?” We decided to try to make the best of it. We stopped to swim at one location for a few minutes, but the rest of the experience was incredibly rough. We were constantly being tossed around, with water splashing in our faces and all over the boat. Everything was soaked—my handbag, hat, towels, clothing, everything. We eventually started the long ride toward Nerano Bay for lunch. About halfway there, we asked if we could turn around and end the tour. We were told that it would get better and that we were only about 30 minutes away. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better. By that point, we were soaked, exhausted, and honestly just ready to get off the boat. Lunch was also very expensive and, unfortunately, not particularly memorable, which made the experience even more disappointing. We dreaded the ride back and ultimately asked the captain to please take us back early. The ride was still rough at first, although thankfully the last 30 minutes or so finally calmed down. My biggest feedback would be this: if guests are clearly uncomfortable and ask to turn around, please listen to them. We should have been more firm ourselves, and I think part of us was holding out hope that the conditions would improve. But after several hours of being tossed around and drenched, with no shade, we really regretted not turning back sooner. For us, we didn’t see or experience much during the 4.5 hours we were out there beyond being uncomfortable and miserable. Spending €750 for an experience that left us soaked, exhausted, and wishing we had stayed on land simply wasn’t worth it. I’m sure this can be a wonderful experience under the right conditions, and perhaps our day was just a case of unfortunate weather. But we wish there had been more communication about how the wind would affect the tour—and we definitely wish our request to turn around had been taken more seriously. Lesson learned: sometimes the weather forecast isn’t enough.

Our boat day was truly one of the highlights of our trip! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Our captain and guide, Maurizio, was incredible. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the day special. He didn’t just take us around the island, he taught us so much about Capri, the history, the beautiful spots we visited, and made sure we were having the best time the entire trip. You could really tell how much he loves what he does. We also had the most amazing lunch made by Mamma Rita. Everything she prepared was delicious and was very fresh. It was the perfect meal to enjoy out on the water. If you're considering a boat day in capri, take this as a sign to book this one!! And if you're lucky enough to have Maurizio as your captain, you're in for an incredible day. Thank you, Maurizio and Mamma Rita, for making our day so unforgettable!
