Excellent experience, I recommend that everyone who loves freedom on two wheels visit the wonderful island of Capri and rent from the Oasi business. First of all, Cristian was very kind in giving us directions for getting around and visiting the island; he brought the scooter to our accommodation so we didn't have to go down from Anacapri to pick it up. Does the scooter get you to Marina Piccola in summer?
No: in the summer season the Marina Piccola area is closed to non-resident traffic and has no scooter parking. Between 10 AM and 4 PM the time is better spent on the Anacapri side. Between the Punta Carena lighthouse and the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) where parking is available. Once the season ends the restriction is over and the road down to Marina Piccola is open again.
Where do you leave the scooter to visit Capri town and Anacapri?
The centers of Capri town and Anacapri are pedestrian zones closed to traffic: you stop nearby and continue on foot. In Capri town the spot is the Due Golfi roundabout. At the edge of the center. In Anacapri the public lots sit at the junction of Via Caprile and Via Pagliaro: past Piazza Vittoria. On the lighthouse road you can stop at the piazzola di Pino for the forts and. Climbing back from the Blue Grotto. At the piazzetta di Orrico for Damecuta.
