How do I book a helicopter transfer with Hoverfly?
You can book by filling in the request form on the website or by emailing us. The commercial team reviews every inquiry and typically responds within 24 hours with a tailored quotation based on your route and passenger count. No commitment is required at the time of the request.
How much does a private helicopter transfer cost?

The price depends on the route, aircraft type, number of passengers, landing permissions and waiting time. There is no fixed rate: Hoverfly provides a bespoke quotation after checking operational feasibility. A formal inquiry is required to receive a reliable estimate.

How is the service confirmed and when is the flight brief sent?

To confirm the booking you need to share your preferred departure time or connecting flight details. After confirmation Hoverfly sends the contract and payment instructions. The evening before departure the operations team issues a detailed brief covering meeting points, timings and driver contacts where applicable.

How many passengers can fly and how much luggage is allowed?
Hoverfly helicopters accommodate up to 6 passengers. Luggage capacity depends on the aircraft type and the number of people on board. As a general guideline one medium bag of around 15-20 kg and one small carry-on per passenger are allowed. Soft bags are always recommended.
What happens if I have more luggage than allowed?
The operations team assesses luggage requirements in advance. If the volume exceeds available capacity a dedicated ground transfer can be arranged to deliver excess bags directly to your final destination. This additional service carries an extra cost to be agreed at the time of booking.
Is the flight private or will I share the helicopter with other passengers?
All Hoverfly flights are exclusively private. Every service is fully dedicated to the booking party and no other passengers are added. The fleet includes single and twin-engine helicopters operated by one or two pilots depending on operational requirements.
Can Hoverfly operate night flights?
Yes: Hoverfly operates twin-engine helicopters approved for night operations. However night flights are permitted only to and from certified airports or helipads. When submitting your request it is helpful to specify the planned departure time so the team can confirm operational availability and required authorizations.
How do I get from the heliport to my hotel after landing?

Hoverfly can arrange a private car transfer from the heliport to your hotel, villa or final destination as an add-on service. This is coordinated by the operations team alongside the flight planning. Simply mention it when submitting your request.

Can children travel on the helicopter?
Yes. Children can travel on board with an adult companion. Children under 2 years of age may sit on a parent's lap for the entire flight. From age 2 upward a separate seat is required by law. This detail should be shared at booking so the correct aircraft configuration can be confirmed.
Can pets travel on board?
Yes. Pets are allowed on board. They must remain inside a suitable pet carrier for the entire duration of the flight. A leash must always be available for when it is required. Please mention the pet when submitting your booking request.
What documents are required for the flight?

Hoverfly provides the contract, the passenger list and payment instructions. The passenger list is an official document to be completed with the full details of all passengers and signed to confirm acceptance of dangerous goods regulations. Some airports and heliports may also require copies of passengers' passports to authorize landing.

How is payment made?
Payment is required in advance before the flight. You can pay by credit card via a secure payment link or by bank transfer. American Express cards are also accepted.
Can multiple helicopters be booked for larger groups?
Yes. For groups exceeding the capacity of a single helicopter Hoverfly can coordinate the operation with multiple aircraft flying in parallel. The standard capacity is 6 passengers per helicopter. This requirement should be flagged at the time of inquiry so logistics can be planned accordingly.
