FAQ - Frequently asked questions
Is it possible to visit the Blue Grotto during the tour?
The Blue Grotto is optional and not included in the tour price. Access isn't guaranteed because the grotto closes during rough seas or strong winds, conditions that can change throughout the day. During high season, waiting times to enter can exceed 2 hours due to the high number of visitors. If you want to visit, you'll need to pay the ticket at the entrance.
What happens in case of bad weather?
In case of rough seas or adverse weather conditions, the operator may decide to cancel or postpone the tour for safety reasons. You'll be contacted in advance and offered the option to move your booking to another available date or receive a full refund. Passenger safety is always the priority.
What's the cancellation policy?
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for a refund. In case of bad weather, the tour is canceled with a full refund or free rescheduling, regardless of cancellation timing.
Is there a toilet on board?
Not all boats have onboard toilets. Information about available facilities is indicated in each boat's description during the booking process. Select the boat that best meets your needs based on the services offered.
Where does the tour depart from?
You can depart from Positano, Sorrento, Nerano, or Massa Lubrense. The exact meeting point is confirmed upon booking based on your selected port. Departures are available both morning and afternoon. Choose the port closest to your accommodation.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes, the tour is well-suited for families with children of all ages. Children’s life jackets are available on board, the skipper adjusts the pace to suit your family’s needs, and swimming stops take place in calm, sheltered areas. As this is a private tour, you can easily manage breaks and any needs your children may have, without group constraints. The tour is not recommended for children who suffer from seasickness.
How much time do I have to visit Capri on land?
Time on land depends on the tour duration you choose. With 6–8 hour tours, you will typically have 2–3 hours free to explore Capri, enjoy lunch, or go shopping. For shorter tours (4.5 and 5.5 hours), landing is not recommended, as the available time would be limited. Before disembarking, the skipper will always inform you of the return time to the boat. Please note that reaching Capri town from Marina Grande takes about 6 minutes by funicular or 15 minutes by taxi or bus; during peak season, however, queues may exceed one hour.
Are there swimming stops?
Yes, the tour includes more swimming stops at hidden coves with crystal-clear water, accessible only by boat. Duration and number of stops depend on your preferences and the day's sea conditions. Beach towels and snorkeling equipment are provided.
