The Capri Coast to Coast tour offers an open voucher formula so you can decide when to take your tour any day within 20 days after the date indicated in you booking (on dates on which the tour is offered, daily from 1 March to 31 October).
The meeting point is at the Marina Grande port on Capri at the HP Travel offices on Via Don Giobbe Ruocco, n. 51.
Departure time: 9.30 - 10.00 - 10.30 - 11.15 - 11.45 - 12.15 - 13.00
The stop at the Blue Grotto during the tour is only made when the waiting time is under 45 minutes.
During the high season, the queue to enter the Grotto can last up to two hours, and in that case, the boat cannot wait that long.
When the stop is not possible, the island tour lasts about 1 hour, and upon returning to the port, your ticket remains valid for a later transfer directly to the Blue Grotto.

Maddie was a lovely, bubbly and efficient host for our day drip. She offered a nice amount of chit chat throughout the bus rides without being too much! Salvatore was our driver and we were always safe while getting where we need to be in a timely manner! The tour was highly convenient if you are low on time during your stay. I would recommend doing Pompeii on your own if possible, since we only got to yvgvvvvvbb bc see about a quarter of the beach n

I’d highly recommend this trip it was just perfect. Picked up from Vico Equinse which was so close to our hotel. On to Pompeii for a two hour guided tour. Then a basic but delicious pizza for lunch with soft drink (included). Finally to Vesuvius for a mammoth climb before a shopping trip and back home. Good value imo since we met others who paid €250 for a similar trip ours was €115. The tour guide was so kind and witty Mattie and Salvatore was a good driver up the steep inclines. Great day and wonderful weather 22 degrees. Thank You

Excellent day trip with Margarita & Gianluca. Perfect weather for climbing Vesuvius first before some cloud rolled in. Steep incline but worth it. Spectacular views & very delicious pizza as the reward. The kids loved being on the volcano. Pompeii was fascinating & great to see some interesting parts. A great day out to finish our holiday.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

Does the island tour include the Blue Grotto visit?

The tour sails past the Blue Grotto, but the stop to enter is not always possible. Entry depends on sea conditions and waiting times, which can be quite long during high season. If the wait is too long (more tha 45 minutes), the boat completes the island tour and returns to the port (about a 10-minute ride). Guests who still wish to visit can take another boat — included in the ticket — that will wait as long as needed for the entry.

Do I have to pay again to return to the Blue Grotto?

No. The transfer to the Blue Grotto is included in your original ticket. The only extra cost is the entrance fee, payable in cash directly to the rowboat operators.

Can I swim during the island tour?

No swimming stops are included on this tour. If you wish to swim, you can book a private or semi-private boat trip that includes time for a swim.

What if the Blue Grotto is closed due to rough seas?

The Blue Grotto is often closed when the sea is rough or the tide is high, for safety reasons. We recommend checking the marine weather forecast before choosing teh day of the tour— calm sea days offer the best chance to find the Grotto open. Even if it’s closed, the island tour is still a beautiful experience.
