In the heart of Capri on a street packed with tourists and islanders there's a somewhat unremarkable entrance that might easily be missed by those passing by. It's hard to believe that beyond this unassuming exterior lies the island's best-known and most-loved nightclub - a favorite hangout of pop stars, politicians, high-flying managers, television hosts, philosophers, top models, and even royals.

For a few years now, the "official voice" of Anema e Core has been Gianluigi Lembo, son of the unforgettable Guido, the club's founder and undisputed emperor of the Capri night scene until his untimely death in 2022.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Gianluigi Lembo and his band enchant the island from midnight until the break of day with the sound of Neapolitan music, transforming uptight politicians and persuading even the most inhibited visitors to let loose and dance.

"Anema e core" in local dialect means heart and soul, and guests at this club have their heart and soul lifted by the lighthearted music, dancing, and easy smiles of the staff and visitors.

There is no dress code or bouncer at the door, so anyone who wants to spend an evening in the company of Gianluigi and his band can have the time of their life. For over 20 years, locals, tourists, and international stars have been mixing it up on the same dance floor. The music is spontaneous and fun, and that's the key to the success of this traditional "taverna" that has become a local landmark over the years.

Esperienza pessima partendo dall'entrata, da premettere che eravamo 3 ragazze e la signora all'entrata poteva essere nostra madre, mentre stavamo pagando per entrare nella distrazione (errore nostro questo) , la signora si è voltata e ha deciso di mettersi 20 euro in tasca dicendo che l'importo non era sufficiente e ci volevano altri 20 euro, ce ne siamo accorte solo una volta entrate che noi avevamo dato i soldi giusti! Locale poi minuscolo, musica oscena , fanno serata interessanti e movimentate solo quando c'è qualcuno di famoso. Esperienza da non ripetere e la signora una grandissima maleducata, spero che quel 20 euro le sia servito in qualcosa di utile.

Esperienza pessima. L’accoglienza a La Taverna è sempre tra le peggiori che abbia mai vissuto. Le receptionist sono estremamente maleducate, con un atteggiamento arrogante e aggressivo, come se fossero delle autorità invece di lavorare nel settore dell’ospitalità. Solo perché il locale è piccolo e sempre pieno, sembrano pensare di avere il diritto di trattare le persone con superiorità e totale mancanza di rispetto. Ho percepito atteggiamenti discriminatori e razzisti, un comportamento inaccettabile che fa sentire le persone come spazzatura. E il paradosso? Dopo tutta quella arroganza, le stesse receptionist si mettono a mangiare pane davanti alla porta, come se niente fosse. E poi c’è Antonio, che si comporta come se fosse il presidente della Repubblica Italiana … ma alla fine è solo il buttafuori . Meno male che stanno iniziando dí avere altre posto per divertirsi a Capri

Just an Iconic place. From a seamless reservation process, to the professional welcoming in the door and even our waiter succeeded in taking care of us in an attentive way despite the very lively ambiance inside. The mood inside is indeed fun with good looking people. The band and singers excel with international classics. Of course, Gianluigi Lembo and the Italian classics are the main attraction. He really knows how to keep the family tradition going on, with a smile and a welcoming word both to famous and less-so alike. Best music tavern in Italy. We are looking fwd to be back soon.
