There are few restaurants in the world which can boast a location as stunning as that occupied by Capri's Da Luigi ai Faraglioni.

Lunch beneath the rocks

This historic eatery, dating back to 1936, sits on the water's edge, almost directly beneath the island's Faraglioni rocks. Here, in the shadow of the legendary sea stacks, holidaymakers mingle with members of the international jet set, who regularly come to savor the restaurant's delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

Fruits of the sea

Not surprisingly, the menu features a vast selection of fish and seafood dishes, as well as traditional island specialties and an exciting range of salads. Containing all the best local and regional wines, the wine list ensures the perfect accompaniment to each and every meal.

The superlative cuisine together with the unbeatable location, make Da Luigi ai Faraglioni a sought after venue in which to host an exclusive event or party

Beach and shuttle

Not only a first class restaurant, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni is also a much loved bathing establishment, where visitors come to swim and laze in the sun from dawn until dusk.

To make your journey back to the center of Capri part of the day's fun, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni provides a shuttle boat service to Marina Piccola.

Disappointing & Overpriced — Wouldn’t Recommend

I would not recommend visiting Da Luigi. I’ve been to many beach clubs and was extremely disappointed by the experience here. Despite booking a €680 package in advance, we were immediately upsold upon arrival for “front row” beds and somehow ended up paying €800 — for what, I’m still not sure. It felt like a tourist trap, even though it wasn’t packed with Americans like some other spots. The service was consistently poor — we had to flag someone down every time we needed anything, and not once in over six hours did anyone refresh our ice bucket. The waitstaff were unfriendly, and the overall attitude felt indifferent at best. At lunch, I asked to sit near the water and was told the table was reserved for a larger party — only to watch a party of two be seated there minutes later. The same woman who pushed the upsell at the entrance made that call, which left a bad taste. Also, the bathrooms are disgusting and need to be serviced, both the men’s and women’s. It was shocking to me that a “high end” spot let their facilities get so sloppy. Both my husband and I found remains in the toilets and had the same experience. The water is beautiful, but the swimming area is very rocky due to its proximity to a popular cave. Bring your own float — the rafts only come with the €800 package, which again, includes very little. Overall, I wish we hadn’t spent our time or money here. There are far better beach clubs in Capri that offer better value, service, and hospitality.

Great view but bad food

Da Luigi Beach Club in Capri offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable swimming experience—the crystal-clear water and dramatic coastal scenery are truly world-class. Relaxing on the sunbeds and diving into the sea here is easily the highlight of any visit. Unfortunately, the food falls far short of expectations, especially considering the extremely high prices. With a simple Coke priced at €10, guests are right to expect much higher quality and care from the kitchen. Dishes served were bland, uninspired, and did not reflect the standards you’d expect from such a renowned location. When you pay a premium for both food and drinks, the culinary experience should match the setting. At Da Luigi, the spectacular surroundings are let down by the disappointing dining. If you’re coming for the view and the swimming, Da Luigi delivers. But if you’re hoping for a memorable meal to match, you may want to look elsewhere—or at least lower your expectations for the food. For the price, the management should make a much greater effort to serve quality cuisine that lives up to the location

Great location and staff - pricey!

Very expensive but a nice location. After a bit of a trek down the hill we arrived at da Luigi. With no booking, predictably, the cheaper spots were sold out so we settled for a premium spot. It is a bit crowded as are all of these places, nice and attentive staff. Location is stunning between high cliffs. Food was decent but the restaurant space was a bit crowded. Not a bad place to spend a day in Capri, but you need to ignore the prices which are comically unreasonable. At the end of the day they have a shuttle boat to Piccola marina which saves you the trek up the hill.

To reach the Da Luigi ai Faraglioni restaurant and bathing establishment, make your way to Belvedere Tragara, a five minute walk from the center of Capri, and from here take the little path amidst the coastal pine trees which leads down to the sea and the Faraglioni rocks.

You can make the return journey aboard Da Luigi's shuttle boat which leaves customers in the Bay of Marina Piccola, from where you can easily reach the center of town, by bus, taxi, or on foot.
