There are few restaurants in the world which can boast a location as stunning as that occupied by Capri's Da Luigi ai Faraglioni.

Lunch beneath the rocks

This historic eatery, dating back to 1936, sits on the water's edge, almost directly beneath the island's Faraglioni rocks. Here, in the shadow of the legendary sea stacks, holidaymakers mingle with members of the international jet set, who regularly come to savor the restaurant's delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

Fruits of the sea

Not surprisingly, the menu features a vast selection of fish and seafood dishes, as well as traditional island specialties and an exciting range of salads. Containing all the best local and regional wines, the wine list ensures the perfect accompaniment to each and every meal.

The superlative cuisine together with the unbeatable location, make Da Luigi ai Faraglioni a sought after venue in which to host an exclusive event or party

Beach and shuttle

Not only a first class restaurant, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni is also a much loved bathing establishment, where visitors come to swim and laze in the sun from dawn until dusk.

To make your journey back to the center of Capri part of the day's fun, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni provides a shuttle boat service to Marina Piccola.

Torneremo ❤️

TOURISTENFALLE ABSOLUT

The Caipirinha was extremly terrible. The alcohol was harsh, and instead of being refreshing, it was unpleasant and almost undrinkable. Honestly, it was one of the worst cocktails I’ve ever had. And the biggest joke was the Price 20 Euro.

Beautiful Setting, Better Than Expected!

I’ll admit—I came here a little worried after reading some of the recent negative reviews. I was bracing for the worst, but in the end, I was pleasantly surprised and had a really good experience. First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. Sitting right under the Faraglioni, with the sea stretching out in front of you, it’s the kind of spot you could happily stay for hours. The staff at the entrance deserves a special mention—they welcomed us warmly and took very good care of us upon arrival. Service overall was attentive, kind, and refreshingly not pushy. You’re not constantly pressured to order more food or drinks, which makes it easy to truly relax. Yes, it’s expensive—but that’s Capri. For €245 we had two sunbeds with an umbrella, two pasta plates, dessert, and drinks for lunch. If you consider what you’d spend at another beach club plus a separate restaurant, it works out about the same, and you get everything in one place. Where I do agree with some reviewers is the food quality. My gnocchi was unfortunately overcooked, and in general the food doesn’t match the price point. It’s perfectly passable for a beach club meal, but not a culinary highlight of Capri. Overall, I’d still recommend Da Luigi for the experience and setting. Come for the views, the atmosphere, and a relaxed day by the sea—you’ll get your money’s worth. Just don’t expect Michelin-star food, and you’ll leave happy.

Map

To reach the Da Luigi ai Faraglioni restaurant and bathing establishment, make your way to Belvedere Tragara, a five minute walk from the center of Capri, and from here take the little path amidst the coastal pine trees which leads down to the sea and the Faraglioni rocks.

You can make the return journey aboard Da Luigi's shuttle boat which leaves customers in the Bay of Marina Piccola, from where you can easily reach the center of town, by bus, taxi, or on foot.
