Il Riccio is one of the restaurants managed by the luxury Capri Palace Hotel, but it is open to all diners...if, however, you are lucky enough to book in advance and nab a table in its exclusive thatched-roof dining room. Relax over specialties like the famous Plateau Royal, a sumptuous dish featuring fresh Mediterranean fish and seafood, including sea urchins and oysters.

No meal at Il Riccio is complete without a foray into their iconic dessert room, decorated with artisan majolica tiles that set off an endless array of sweet island treats that include many of the traditional pastries and desserts from Naples and the rest of Italy: babà al rum, torta caprese, tarts, sfogliatelle, delizia al limone, and more. It's a true paradise for lovers of luscious desserts.

The most iconic location in Capri

You cannot leave Capri island before stopping at Il Riccio Restaurant and Beach Club, the most iconic place of the island. Start with one of the signature cocktails at Il Riccio Lounge, where Roberto and Gennaro take care of everything in detail. We suggest the Bloody Mafia - this is one of their creations and it is amazing. Then step down into the Restaurant and enjoy an incredible lunch sea view. Imma, Roberto and Anaelle are incredible and will make your experience even more memorable thanks to their expertise and great team, they are all super professional and service follows high level standards. We had a tuna tartare, the signature dish “Spaghettoni ai ricci di mare”, ravioli and “frittura”. And at the end, to finish your wonderful lunch, step into the “Temptation Room” where you will find all possible desserts displayed in such an exclusive room - design and art everywhere, you will wish to never leave. This location is also very well know for weddings and party celebrations - don’t miss the opportunity to experience the Italian Dolce Vita at Il Riccio!

Lovely but double check with dietary requirements

Upon ordering the amberjack I informed the waiter I do not eat clams (for religious reasons); they said no problem to serve the dish without the clam sauce. About halfway through the dish I noticed something I didn’t recognise that looked foreign to the dish. I told the waiter and he informed me this was a clam, and there were a few others under the piece of fish. To their credit they instantly apologised, took the dish away and came with some complementary wine (a house one that wasn’t as nice vs what we ordered originally) However my boyfriend shortly after finished eating, so when my dish returned I was not only eating alone, but also very much put off the food feeling very sick at the thought of being one bite away from eating something I had never and would never consume. I forced a few bits down to not appear rude. Although the overall service was lovely, with a Michelin star the standard of dietary requirement should have been a given. In retrospect I wish I had declined the additional dish, and simply asked for it to be taken off the bill.

Il posto è bellissimo, il rapporto qualità prezzo è sproporzionato, il cibo è buono ma normale come si può trovare anche in una buona trattoria. I prezzi sono da ristorante stellato e oltre.. ma il servizio e la qualità non lo sono. I ragazzi bravi ma non preparati per un ristorante che vuol essere di livello, ci sono tanti ristoranti a Capri con un livello generale piu alto. Un punto a favore è la stanza dei dolci ma non arrivate troppo tardi, la cantina dei vini è ben fornita ma esosa. Il cantante invece bravissimo e coinvolgente.

Estivemos em Capri em agosto e contratamos um passeio privativo de barco com a “Mariana Positano” (tem Instagram). Nosso passeio durava até o horário do almoço e, então, nosso marinheiro nos levou até o Il Riccio (já tínhamos reserva). O restaurante fica na pedra, com vista para o mar e a impressão que temos é que estamos em um filme de tão extraordinário! O atendimento foi excelente e a comida estava impecável. Voltaremos em breve!
