Le Grottelle is situated just a few steps away from the Natural Arch, a great block of rock fashioned by centuries of erosion into a gigantic monolithic archway.

Caves with a view

As its name suggests, part of Le Grottelle, including the kitchen, has been built within cave-like hollows in the rock face.
Traditional island treats are served on the terrace which enjoys sweeping views across the sea to the Amalfi Coast, Campanella point, the Galli islands and, on particularly clear days, as far as Salerno and the Calabrian mountains.

Le Grottelle provides the perfect venue in which to enjoy a well earned gastronomic reward at the end of the breathtakingly beautiful coastal walk which commences at Tragara Point and the Faraglioni and terminates with a 120 step climb to reach the Natural Arch.

Dîner ici se mérite. Pas d'accès direct en voiture, mais un quart d'heure de marche à pied pour pouvoir manger sur cette belle terrasse à l'abri des arbres. Une table sans chichis mais savoureuse, où se mêlent touristes et locaux. Notons qu'au début, le service ne s'est pas montré très cordial ... mais s'est détendu petit à petit (est-ce parce que notre addition s'allongeait ou parce que mon épouse parle parfaitement italien?) au point de nous faire presque l'accolade à notre départ.

Accueil plus que désagréable, le serveur nous a laissé moins de 3 minutes pour choisir et il s’est montré très pressant voire oppressant ! Quant aux plats, une tomate mozza a 18€ pas terrible en qualité comme en quantité. Une entrecôte (0,5cm d’épaisseur) bien trop cuite, alors que demandée saignante, et beaucoup de gras (1/3 du morceau). Sans oublier le couvert à 5€ par personne pour un tel service! Bref, une addition très salée, sans la vue qui est très belle, je n’aurais pas mis d’étoile ! Passez votre chemin

La comida en Italia es una locura y este lugar le hace honor a eso, pedí una pasta de mariscos y estaba espectacular! El mesero que nos tocó sí fue súper X, pensé que él era mal humorado y ya, pero lo ví sonriendo y atendiendo de otra forma a la mesa de al lado, así que no era mal humor... Sólo es uno de esos meseros que te atienden según el reloj que llevas puesto (supongo que debí haber sacado el Rolex esa noche 😂) Los dueños muy amables, es bonito ver qué en Italia siempre te reciben los dueños del local. Para terminar pedimos un helado que estaba increíble, el más rico que he comido. Los precios van acorde a lo rico que estaba todo. Unos 50-70 euros por persona.
