Le Grottelle is situated just a few steps away from the Natural Arch, a great block of rock fashioned by centuries of erosion into a gigantic monolithic archway.

Caves with a view

As its name suggests, part of Le Grottelle, including the kitchen, has been built within cave-like hollows in the rock face.
Traditional island treats are served on the terrace which enjoys sweeping views across the sea to the Amalfi Coast, Campanella point, the Galli islands and, on particularly clear days, as far as Salerno and the Calabrian mountains.

Le Grottelle provides the perfect venue in which to enjoy a well earned gastronomic reward at the end of the breathtakingly beautiful coastal walk which commences at Tragara Point and the Faraglioni and terminates with a 120 step climb to reach the Natural Arch.

Magnificent experience

Lovely place, outdoors you eat under a pergola overlooking the Sorrento peninsula, overlooking the sea. Exquisite dishes; typical escarole with pine nuts and olives wonderful. The restaurant is located along the path that leads to the natural arch; in front of the restaurant also begins the path of Pizzolungo, beautiful. Everything on Capri is beauty!

In the shade of tall trees

Dinner here deserves. No direct access by car, but a 15-minute walk to eat on this beautiful terrace sheltered from trees. An uncomplicated but tasty table, where tourists and locals mix. Note that at first, the Service was not very cordial ... but relaxed little by little (is it because our bill was getting longer or because my wife speaks perfectly Italian?) to the point of almost hugging us when we left.

Welcoming more than unpleasant, the waiter gave us less than 3 minutes to choose and it was very pressing or even oppressive! As for the dishes, a mozza tomato has 18€ not great in quality as in quantity. A rib (0,5cm thick) far too cooked, while requested bleeding, and a lot of fat (1/3 of the piece). Not to mention the Cover at 5€ per person for such a Service! In short, a very salty addition, without the view which is very beautiful, I would not have put a star! Pass your way
