Located near the Natural Arch be ready to walk a bit uphill from the center of Capri; please do though take the walk, it is a family owned restaurant where they make you feel right at home. At first the doting waiter seems like he is simply awaiting your order but then you learn it is simply his style. The chef comes down to the dining floor a few times and makes the rounds and the grandfather who we guess is an owner makes the rounds too. We had prosecco before we headed to dinner so tonight was dinner with still water. We started with a shared dish of grilled vegetable and burrata, simply delicious and the burrata so mild. We ordered two portions of Pasta Sciue Sciue, fantastic of course, and closed with eggplant parmigiana, so nicely cooked and not deep fried as they do in the USA. Reservations are only avail by phone so call in advance and make one! And funny story while we’re at it, we did the Natural Arch hike and after rising the stairs tired and completely parched earlier in the day we dined where we did buy our bottle of water, here! And we did not even realize until we came back for dinner!

Le Grottelle is a great place for dinner in Capri. Luigi greets everyone who visits his restaurant. The pizza and pasta are outstanding, but don't miss the chicken. Great wine list and very reasonable.
