Laughing while reading some of these reviews. Portions, Smelly Fish, People?????You’re in freaking Capri, Italy for gods sake! Live a little, enjoy a lot. The food was spectacular, the wait staff and owner, even better. Three people, three meals, a bottle of Red wine, desserts, lemonchiello, coffee, all for $130 euro! C'mon folks, your not getting this anywhere in the US.

I've been several times at Verginiello, as a nice place with good food. Unfortunately this time I had the unpleasant experience of a stinky fish salad. Clearly the octopus was not freshly made and was stinking like dirty stuff. I asked the waiter to take it back. He was understanding and kind and said he was sorry. After a while a see this big man with an angry face approaching my table with something in his hands. With aggressive manners he said "and now try this one!" without even giving excuses or explanation. He brought me a freshly boiled octopus which was of course delicious. He went without waiting my reply. I was shocked! My daughters too! It was soooo embarrassing, so rude. After a while he came at my table again asking how it was. Then I knew he was the restaurant owner. I was on hols with my family. I didn't want to end up in a quarrel for the benefit of my girls...otherwise I would have said him about my job: I am a food quality inspector. I travel all over Italy and Europe auditing all sorts of food manufacturers. You can bet I will never get back again to that place, which was overcrowded and with such an arrogant owner. But mainly with stinky fish!

Un trionfo di ravioli al nero di seppia, spaghetti alla Nerano meglio di quelli di Nerano, paccheri alla rana pescatrice con pomodorini gialli… pesce alla griglia e impepata di cozze da gran banchetto… Torta caprese me la impacchetto e me la porto a Milano… Se a servirvi è Vincenzo siete fortunati… se ad accogliervi c’è Dino che sembra uscito da un set del cinema siete pure instagrammabili…

Ouvimos falar muito bem do restaurante, porém, tive uma experiência negativa, pedi uma massa cm polvo, valor elevado, e veio 2 pedaços minúsculos de polvo (juro, minúsculo)… estava muito saboroso, só faltou o polvo mesmo 🤡
