-Visiting the Blue Grotto: once we reach the entrance to the Blue Grotto, all passengers must board small rowboats to enter the cave. Please note that the rowboat service to enter the Blue Grotto is not managed by our company and we are not responsible for any long wait times or delays. Visits inside the grotto last about five minutes and then passengers reboard the Motoscafisti boats.
-If the estimated waiting time at the Blue Grotto exceed 60 minutes, the crew reserves the right to return to the port, for safety reasons. In this event, you will receive a free ticket to Blue Grotto only.
-Access to the Blue Grotto cannot be guaranteed with certainty as it is closed during rough seas or strong winds and weather conditions can change within the same day, leading to closures and reopenings.
-We suggest bringing sunblock and a hat!

Is access to the Blue Grotto guaranteed?
No, access to the Grotto depends on two factors. 1. Sea conditions: if the sea is rough or the tide is high, the Grotto is closed. 2. Expected waiting time: if the line to enter exceeds 30 minutes, the tour will not stop. This tour allows a maximum waiting time of 45 minutes; if the expected wait is longer, the boat will return to the port and you’ll be given a free ticket for a transfer boat to the Grotto. Guests who wish to can return later and join the line for the visit.
Is the Blue Grotto entrance included in the ticket?
No, entrance to the Blue Grotto is managed separately and must be paid directly at the ticket office located at the cave entrance. The Motoscafisti ticket only covers the boat tour to reach the entrance.
How long is the wait to enter the Blue Grotto?
Waiting times vary greatly depending on the time of day and season: from as little as 15–20 minutes to as much as two hours. This tour allows a maximum waiting time of 45 minutes; if the expected wait is longer, the boat will return to the port and you’ll be given a free ticket for a transfer boat to the Grotto. Guests who wish to can return later and join the line for the visit.

No, the boats do not have restrooms. It’s recommended to use facilities on land before boarding.
