Sorrento : "Vesuvio ,The Legend of Love" Musical Ticket

We selected this tour as it was a half day from Sorrento with an early start so we wouldn’t be at Pompeii in the afternoon heat. Very well organised meet and departure from Sorrento on a lovely air conditioned coach. Our guide Lulu was very knowledgeable and good at keeping the group together. The radios worked well, but we were a large group (think 31?) and if you were at the back of the group the radios tended to lose signal so we found we had to keep up near the front. Interesting tour and Lulu was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide

This was an excellent trip but not for the faint of heart. It is a very long day and it was 35 degrees when we did the trip. We loved both Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. The climb to the top of Vesuvius is difficult, especially in hot weather, since there is no shade and no traction - you are walking on ash and rock. However, the view from the top is fantastic!

Overall, a good trip. The guides (Dani on the bus and Luigi in Pompeii) were great. Pompeii was super interesting - and even my 10 year old enjoyed hearing about it although she was flagging at the end because of the heat. Luigi the guide was very knowledgeable - and aware of his audience. He was good at giving ‘snippets’ rather than long and boring details (which we preferred as a family with kids). Be aware that although you see some body cases in glass, you do not get taken to the Garden of Fugitives (where the main body cases are). This did not spoil our enjoyment but think it would be helpful to be aware for other tourists that use this company. The trip was expensive - and as someone else pointed out, perhaps overly so after seeing the actual entry prices. It would have been good to have lunch included with such a hefty price. However, the trip was easy and we didn’t have to queue or wait or find out or experience any other stressful moments . Vesuvius was impressive - best to wear trainers as it’s slippery !

Our tour of Pompeii & Mt Vesuvius was a unique experience for all ages. Our tour guide Mimi, was both friendly & informative. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
