Sunset in Naples: guided tour in English with traditional dinner in the heart of the city

This is my review of ‘Shared Tour Capri without pick-up’ - guided by Gabriel Casavega I had intended to miss Capri out of my itinerary and I now realise that this would have been a big mistake. It’s a charming island and while there are definitely similarities to those other popular Naples excursion destinations on the Amalfi coast, it’s different enough to warrant setting aside the day it takes to visit. Our guide, Gabriel Casavega, was enthusiastic, energetic, amusing and knowledgeable. Not to mention thoroughly professional, with excellent communication via WhatsApp beginning the day before, including a video to make finding the meeting place easier, and constant updates throughout the day to make sure we were where we needed to be in order to ensure getting the most out of the trip. This is not to say the it was too regimented, there was plenty of time to potter and soak up the atmosphere, it’s just important with a group that we all try not to incorporate delays, inconveniencing everyone.

Gabriel’s suggestions that we take the boat trip and the chairlift (not compulsory) were also great enhancements of the day tat I may not have done but I’m glad that I did. A thoroughly recommended trip and full marks to our guide Gabriel.

From Naples: Sorrento, Positano & Amalfi - Small Group Tour on Wed Sept 17th, 2025, with Thomaso. I’m really glad that I chose to do the Amalfi coast as a day trip rather than staying at the towns themselves, which are architectural marvels set in epic scenery and definitely worth a visit but have morphed into enormous, overpopulated shopping malls. The booking process was smooth and the meeting point in central Naples a tiny bit confusing but, in its defence, seems to work and everyone gets where they’re going. The van was clean and comfortable and arrived on time, there were 7 people in our group and we were soon getting along and chatting. Our guide and driver, Thomaso, was excellent - pointing out elements of the scenery en route and giving us an excellent grounding in the context of the area both historically and geographically. He was also very considerate and clearly his goal was that we should all have an enjoyable time. I thoroughly recommend this trip, and the guide - Thomaso.

Connie was an outstanding tour guide and very knowledgeable and made our experience of the tour very enjoyable and Remigio was a safe and excellent driver.

Gabriel is very well organized and always cared about the tour, not to talk about they way he lighten up the mood. Made you feel like you are in a party, making sure we won't miss single thing, If someone is going to Capri it won't be the same without Gabriel he really makes the experience Better
