Summer 2026 on Capri: new and classic favorites

Traditional places and newly opened venues

Summer on Capri is a ritual. It's an irresistible mix of Mediterranean charm, beautiful reefs to dive off of, outdoor dinners, and so much more. There are many beloved rituals that mark this season, year after year. The island also knows how to offer guests delightful surprises, with newly opened venues, exclusive offers, and hidden gems that only those who actually live there know about. Here's our updated guide for discovering the best of Capri in summer 2026, including the most iconic restaurants, legendary beaches, perfect cocktails with a sea view, and new glamorous destinations.

Where to eat

Casa Paolino – The most intimate chapter in the Paolino story

The Paolino story gains a new address in the heart of the island. Casa Paolino, the new venue created by the Paolino family in collaboration with the family behind Hotel Mamela, is located at Hotel La Canasta, a short walk from the Piazzetta and Via Camerelle. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant, very different from the celebrated lemon grove: less theatrical, more personal, with a view of the Faraglioni rocks. The menu brings together the great classics of Paolino tradition, stuffed ravioli, spaghetti al limone, alongside new creations, including the iconic Bomba di Paolino®.

Insider tip: The reputation of the celebrated Paolino restaurant extends to this new address too. Book well in advance here as well, especially between July and August.

Zuma Capri – Japanese dinner on a seaview terrace in Anacapri

On the rooftop of the luxurious Jumeirah Capri Palace, Zuma Capri offers contemporary Japanese dishes, sushi, and robata-style grills, all framed by a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples. It's the classic experience to share on Instagram!

Ambasciatori Capri Club Restaurant – Dinner theatre

A glamorous new arrival on the island, Ambasciatori Capri promises memorable evenings with dinner, live music, and shows that recall the most authentic Neapolitan nightlife. After its success in Naples, Ambasciatori is now on Capri and has its sights set on becoming the newest hub for the island's best nightlife. It's perfect for groups of friends, birthday parties, or a unique evening that offers a change from the classic romantic dinners.

Luce Capri

Luce opened last season in the center of Capri, in what was formerly the restaurant Glauco by Luigi Esposito. It's aiming to become one of the most refined dining options among the newly opened venues. The menu at Luce focuses on simplicity and quality. One of their signature dishes is “Luce-Style” tomato spaghetti, served with grated lemon, in a delicate homage to the culinary tradition of Capri.

Belle Époque – Gulf views and Campanian cuisine at Excelsior Parco

The Belle Époque restaurant is located within Hotel Excelsior Parco, one of the island's historic hotels, built in the early twentieth century in the Liberty style. The setting is panoramic: wide terraces overlooking Marina Grande and the Gulf of Naples, with a quiet that stands apart from the pace of the town centre. The kitchen is led by Capri-born chef Davide Benetello, who draws on family recipes handed down through generations. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.

Insider tip: Belle Époque offers a free electric shuttle from the harbour and from Piazzale Europa in Capri Centre. If you're visiting for the day by hydrofoil from Naples or Sorrento, you can book lunch and be picked up directly at the port, a practical way to organise the day from the moment you arrive.

Santina – Campanian food and aperitivo on Via Fuorlovado

Piccolino – Seven tables and home cooking in the heart of Capri

In the historic centre of Capri, in Via L'Abate, Piccolino is the opposite of a showcase restaurant. Seven tables, hand-painted walls, a kitchen that follows the seasons with simple, honest gestures. The menu concentrates on home-style flavours: Caprese ravioli, slow-cooked Genovese, preparations that speak to the island's culinary tradition rather than its celebrity.

Casa Tua and Fuoco – Two experiences at Hotel La Palma

At Hotel La Palma, on Via Vittorio Emanuele, the Casa Tua brand brings to Capri the same formula that has already built a loyal following: Italian cuisine, music, and elegance. The offer is structured across two distinct concepts, each suited to a different moment in the day.

Casa Tua Restaurant is the hotel's main dining room: an all-day Italian and Mediterranean experience built around warmth and authenticity, with dishes you can feel were put together with care. Simple plates, carefully sourced ingredients, attentive service.

Fuoco Rooftop sits on the top of the hotel. A rooftop restaurant and lounge built around the contrast of fire and ice: wood-fired dishes, crudos and sushi prepared in front of you, cocktails and music.

Da Maria Grazia – Risto-bistrot in the centre of Capri

A short walk from the Piazzetta, da Maria Grazia has taken a different direction from most addresses on the island. No traditional seafood-heavy menu here: the kitchen focuses on high-quality cheeses and charcuterie and selected meats, with oysters and red prawns as the only nod to the sea. A clear, consistent concept for anyone looking for something genuinely different from the classic Capri offer.

Brace – Grilled meat in Anacapri

On Via Capodimonte in Anacapri, Brace is the right choice for an evening away from the centre and its crowds. The focus is on meat, open grill, and drinks, with a relaxed atmosphere.

Campanella Capri – The garden kitchen at Pazziella Luxury Collection

The Campanella Capri restaurant is located within the Pazziella, a Luxury Collection Hotel. The culinary concept is conceived as an extension of the Mediterranean garden that surrounds the hotel: seasonal ingredients, local aromas, and a contemporary approach to cooking that stays close to the territory. The setting is elegant and intimate, with the unhurried pace of a boutique luxury hotel that keeps a deliberate distance from the crowds of the centre.

Classic beaches

Book online: Capri's beach clubs fill up fast, especially in high season. On capri.com you can book sun loungers and umbrellas online for the main beach clubs on the island, far better than showing up on the day and finding everything fully booked.

La Fontelina

La Fontelina is perhaps the most famous beach on Capri. Its blue-and-white umbrellas nestled between the rocks, right in front of the Faraglioni, are a true symbol of Mediterranean seaside luxury.

  • Reservations are mandatory and must be made well in advance, on their website.

  • Minimum cost: €190 per person (sun lounger + restaurant or drinks).

  • Access by sea or via the path from Tragara (steep, but panoramic); on the way back you can take their boat from Marina Piccola.

Lido del Faro

Lido del Faro is another gem, but with a different spirit. It's the ideal refuge for those seeking deep sea, a quiet atmosphere, and dreamy views. This is the only place on the island where the sun sets directly on the sea. The beach club is fully furnished for you to spend the whole day in complete relaxation on the reef, enjoying tasty dishes and excellent cocktails.

On Sunday evenings, the nearby Maliblù (a few steps away) organizes events with live music and DJ sets. The atmosphere is informal and lively.

Il Riccio Capri

Overlooking the sea, and just a stone's throw from the Blue Grotto, Il Riccio is the beach club and restaurant of the magnificent Jumeirah Capri Palace hotel, where culinary excellence meets impeccable design.

Even for summer 2026, the Dior-designed setting adds a further touch of glamour to the environment. The umbrellas, plates, furnishings, and carefully curated details evoke the elegance of the French fashion house. The menu celebrates the best of seafood cuisine, with refined raw-fish dishes, seafood pasta, and a selection of desserts that merits its very own room. The famous dessert room is worth the visit in and of itself.

Aperitifs and cocktails

Capri Rooftop

Just steps from the famous Gardens of Augustus, Capri Rooftop is a panoramic lounge bar overlooking the bay of Marina Piccola, with an unparalleled view of the Faraglioni. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed. The cocktails are well-crafted and served with attention to detail. This is the ideal location for an after-dinner drink or to start the evening in style.

We recommend getting there when it's still light out, so you can best enjoy the scenic view.

The bars in the Piazzetta

Having an aperitif in the Piazzetta is one of the most iconic and authentic experiences you can have in Capri. The four historic bars that surround the square, including the famous Bar Tiberio, are perfect for an unpretentious drink immersed in the unique atmosphere of the historic center.

  • There isn't much of a difference between the bars, so sit wherever you find a place and enjoy the scene.

  • Prices are higher than average; a drink costs about 20 euros.

  • It's a great spot for people watching; here you can see a mix of celebrities, tourists, and Capri residents.

Nightlife

Taverna Anema e Core – the beating heart of Capri nightlife

If there's one place that represents the true essence of Capri nightlife, it's Taverna Anema e Core. More than a club, it's an institution. Here you can dance on the tables, sing at the top of your lungs, and rub shoulders with celebrities, athletes, and locals. Live music accompanies every evening with an irresistible mix of Neapolitan songs, revivals, and improvisations by resident musicians.

  • You can book a table or simply pay the entrance fee.

  • There's no private room; this format allows for VIPs and “normal” people to have fun together.

  • The evening begins after midnight.

To have the complete experience, many choose to dine in one of the restaurants in the center and then continue the evening here, just a few steps from the Piazzetta.
